Fertility & IVF Coordination

Hopeful, Coordinated Fertility Care

When pregnancy is not happening as expected, Women First Morgantown helps patients begin with compassionate evaluation, local testing, and a clear plan for next steps.

A Collaborative Approach

Your Care Begins Close to Home

Fertility questions can feel emotional, frustrating, and overwhelming. At Women First Morgantown, Dr. Allison Alexander helps patients begin with a thoughtful infertility evaluation, careful listening, and appropriate testing before advanced fertility treatment is considered.

For patients who may benefit from advanced reproductive care, Women First works collaboratively with Dr. Mehmet Tamer Yalcinkaya and Carolinas Fertility Institute. This collaboration helps patients complete recommended pre-work and testing locally whenever appropriate, while staying connected to a trusted OB/GYN team in Morgantown.

Not simply a referral

Women First helps coordinate the front-end evaluation, performs requested tests when appropriate, communicates results, and supports patients throughout the fertility process.

Initial Infertility Evaluation

Dr. Alexander can review cycle history, medical history, prior pregnancies, symptoms, timing, and possible contributing factors.

Local Pre-Work & Testing

When testing is requested by Dr. Yalcinkaya or Carolinas Fertility Institute, Women First can help complete appropriate labs, imaging coordination, and other pre-treatment steps locally.

Clear Next Steps

Patients receive guidance about when advanced fertility care may be helpful, including consultation for IUI, IVF, recurrent pregnancy loss, or other reproductive endocrinology concerns.

Common Questions

Fertility & IVF Questions

When should I ask about fertility testing?

Many patients ask after trying to conceive without success, after irregular cycles, after pregnancy losses, or when they already know about a condition such as PCOS or endometriosis. Dr. Alexander can help decide what evaluation is appropriate.

Will Women First stay involved?

Yes. Women First helps with evaluation, testing, records coordination, and ongoing OB/GYN support. If advanced treatment is needed, your care can be coordinated with Dr. Yalcinkaya and Carolinas Fertility Institute.

Can some testing be done locally?

Often, yes. When Dr. Yalcinkaya requests pre-work or testing that Women First can appropriately perform or coordinate, the office helps patients complete those steps close to home.

Is IVF always the next step?

No. Fertility care depends on the cause, history, age, testing results, and patient goals. Some patients need basic evaluation, some need medication or IUI, and some benefit from IVF consultation.
